⦁ Matheran

It is an amazing place to be in, if you want to get out of the city noise and traffic and would like to slog it out. You can even take a toy train from Neral to Matheran and get those epic DDLJ pictures. Matheran is famous for its scenic beauty and serenity. You will find famous tourist attractions littered all around this calm hill station.

⦁ Kalsubai

The best way to sweat it out and get that exercise is visiting Mount Kalsubai. It is at a moderate trekking hike in Maharashtra. You will be able to cover a whopping 5400 feet to the peak in one day, even beginners. Best timing to start the climb is 7 pm and you’ll reach the peak by approximately 2 am. Traveling:
The main route goes up from the village of Bari. This village is at a distance of around 6 km from Bhandardara. To reach Bari, one has to reach Igatpuri in the Mumbai – Nasik route. From Igatpuri take the early morning S.T. to Pune and alight at Bari.

⦁ Nagaon Beach:

Nagaon makes for an epic beach party. If you’ve got a big group or just want to hang out with bae, head over to Nagaon which is hardly a 3-hour ride. You can carry your own picnic box, camping, and barbecue equipment. Get yourself a bonfire for some dance and music. The beach is clean enough for a dip and lined with a lot of food stalls to curb your hunger. There are options available for water sports at affordable rates. Apart from that, you can also go for the Korlai Fort trek nearby.

State Transport buses are available from Mumbai Central / Parel / Panvel ST Depot. You can board these buses from Dadar / Chembur / Vashi / Belapur / Panvel to Alibaug. Another option is taking a ferry from Gateway of India. Buses that go to Murud will drop you off at Nagaon.
